James Tarkowski has asserted that Everton won’t be distracted by external noise and has vowed that the squad will keep fighting in the face of adversity to “give their all” for the Club:

“I think there are positives to take,” he explained. “Especially the first half, I thought we played really well. They scored one of the best goals I’ve ever seen, especially when I have been on the pitch.

We dominated, pressed really well, made a team who want to play football kick it long. We were taking it off them and then going and attacking again. We had four or five great chances but just didn’t put it in the back of the net.

Second half, the penalty kills the game. I haven’t seen it back but it felt soft at the time. We have been very clinical over the past few weeks, scoring a lot of goals. It was just one of those days. We will get back in the training ground and be ready to go again.” [EFC]
