A serious lack of academy and youth players in the EFC men's premier league team

While we partake in a game of buying and selling or should I say selling then buying, I wonder where all our beloved youth and under 23's are at?

The thrill of cheering on Nathan Broadhead in Miami brought me to the realization that I want to support an underdog, a battler, an audacious goer or just a kid wanting a chance. Put me in coach! Broadhead is a lot cheaper than Iwobi and given a chance may be a better alternative. Ellis Simms could be DCL's apprentice. Surely?

We bought Moise Kean to take on the world then flicked him off to PSG to excel. DCL, Kean and Gold medallist Richarlison would be a top drawer front 3 potentially. Which leads us to who is going to defend in the back four with Godfrey and Digne? Allan & Doucoure (hopefully with Gbamin) fill 2 centre midfield slots so who is the attacking midfielder to play the Bruno/De Bruyne role? Is it James or Andros? Possibly. Maybe not. Not at all?

Of all the press about a future star, Lewis Dobbin gets hat tricks and a nod from Benitez. Token starts to Thierry Small and Tyler Onyango were nice touches but Everton need to install some faith in the youth at some stage. Millions and millions squandered

Everton should not be finishing tenth. Installing some cheaper, younger players is the next Moneyball move to push into the top squad. Benitez will have a plan vs Southampton and need a win first up at home with a crowd. Ignite and excite the squad and crowds. These are the last days of Goodison, let's see her off with a trophy

Virginia, Tyrer, Onyango, Branthwaite, A.Gordon, Broadhead, Simms, Small, Nkounkou, Dobbin may they all get minutes this season. Let's have a look at them in the early Carabao & FA Cup 1st/2nd round games

Haven't said all that, we need some new signings for the start of the Premier League this weekend!!!
