Jordan Pickford finally conceded his first goal of the tournament, and what a goal it was too, with Martin Damsgaard’s freekick beating the Everton and England #1. The Three Lions came from behind to win in extra time, setting up a date with Italy this weekend.

Minutes before the Danish goal, Pickford had broken a long-standing English record held by legendary goalkeeper Gordon Banks of going 720 minutes without conceding a goal for the Three Lions. [Reuters]

Everton have been linked with PSV Eindhoven right back Denzel Dumfries, but if that falls through then Bologna’s versatile Takehiro Tomiyasu is also in their sights. They face a fight though with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United all also interested. [il Resto del Carlino]
