For a brief moment it was looking like the Florida Cup was going to be in jeopardy after first Arsenal and then Inter Milan pulled out of the preseason tournament being held in Orlando. Everton and Colombian outfit Millonarios were scheduled to play on Sunday, but Wednesday’s schedule that was to be played between the winners of the two weekend games was in doubt.
Now the tournament organizers have announced that a third team - Mexican side Club Universidad Nacional, commonly known as the Pumas - have stepped in and the Toffees will now play them on Wednesday before returning to Merseyside.
