With the 2020/21 Premier League season coming to an end this last weekend, Everton fans cannot wait to move into the summer especially with the poor manner in which the campaign ended for the Toffees.
While we’ve known for a while that the squad needs improvement and the tepid performances over the last few months were only tolerable because they were the means to an end (a European spot!), we can only look forward to a critical summer transfer window where Director of Football Marcel Brands and manager Carlo Ancelotti continue to rid the club of deadweights while adding more quality and depth, both key elements that the squad lacked this last season.
It’s promising to be a busy summer away from the club as well, with the European Championships and Copa America tournaments also being played over the next few weeks.
Here is a listing of a few keys dates for football fans in general, and we’ll continue to update this as we learn more about Everton’s pre-season plans.
Wed, June 9th: Summer transfer window opens
Fri, June 11th: Euro 2020 begins
Sun, June 13th: Copa America 2021 begins
Sat, July 10th: Copa America 2021 Final
Sun, July 11th: Euro 2020 Final
Sat, August 14th: Premier League 2021-22 season begins
Tue, August 31st: Summer transfer window closes
Keep it here on RBM as we will start our season recap coverage in the next few days to close out the 2020-21 campaign. We’ll also keep you posted on the Everton players away on international duty as well as all rumoured and confirmed transfer market activity going into next season.
