What a week.

But some news that has gone under the radar is that Everton now have a near-strength team available to face one of the mighty Big Six teams (currently 9th in the Premier League on equal points with 10th place Leeds United).

So how will Carlo line-up his side against such ferocious opposition?

Who’s Out?

Miraculously, only Abdoulaye Doucoure and Jean-Philippe Gbamin remain out.

Even Fabian Delph is fit for this one. Seriously.

That means we’ll see Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Andre Gomes, Bernard and Yerry Mina all available once again.

Tactics and Formation

Although we couldn’t grab all three points, it was a good performance against another of the ‘Dirty Dozen’ Tottenham Hotspur last week, so we can expect a similar setup. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see either (or even both) Mason Holgate and Michael Keane drop to the bench after some questionable defending on both goals, though.

Starters (likelihood of starting rated out of 10)

Jordan Pickford – 8/10

Seamus Coleman – 7/10

Made an instant impact after coming on last week and could start here.

Yerry Mina – 7/10

Ben Godfrey – 9/10

Lucas Digne – 10/10

Allan – 8/10

Gylfi Sigurdsson – 9/10

Combined well with James against Spurs, will look for more of that magic tomorrow.

Tom Davies – 7/10

James Rodriguez – 9/10

Richarlison – 10/10

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 9/10

Bench

Robin Olsen

Michael Keane

Mason Holgate

Niels Nkounkou

Fabian Delph

Andre Gomes

Bernard

Alex Iwobi

Joshua King

That’s probably the deepest and most talented bench we’ve had in months.
