Everton responded superbly to last week’s dismal Newcastle defeat with a courageous 2-1 win at Leeds and a frantic 3-3 draw at Manchester United.
It means the Blues remain unbeaten on the road in the Premier League since November 1.
Geno and Matthew discussed these two games on this week’s episode of SOS Radio, including Robin Olsen’s fluctuating week in goal, how much Tom Davies and André Gomes look to have improved, whether there’s anywhere Ben Godfrey can’t play, and the character shown both in seeing out the Leeds victory and in twice coming from behind at Old Trafford.
They also previewed another two-game week for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, which sees Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham visit Goodison Park; the former in the FA Cup fifth round and the latter in the Premier League.
Ancelotti spoke before the United draw about the need to rotate in such a busy schedule - what changes might we see here? Should Allan and Jordan Pickford go straight back in once they’ve recovered from their respective injuries? And what do we make of Tottenham and Fulham, who have both found wins hard to come by of late?
