Everton endured a tough set of Goodison Park games last week, as a gritty 1-1 draw with Leicester was followed up by a lame 2-0 defeat to Newcastle.

It means the Blues remain without a league win in an empty Goodison since they won 4-2 against Brighton on October 3.

Geno and Matthew discussed the games on this week’s episode of SOS Radio, along with RBM’s Brian Lewis. They also talked whether Lucas Digne at left-wing is a viable long-term option, what’s up with the out-of-form Richarlison, whether Jordan Pickford’s mistake against Leicester means he should be dropped, and much more.

They also dissected a hectic transfer deadline day for the club on Monday, which saw Joshua King arrive from Bournemouth, Jonas Lossl leave permanently and Cenk Tosun, Jonjoe Kenny, Anthony Gordon and Beni Baningime all complete loan moves elsewhere.

This week’s pod is rounded off by previews of Everton’s two away games this week - against Leeds United on Wednesday, then versus Manchester United on Saturday.

What changes does Carlo Ancelotti need to make after their latest rude awakening? And what do we make of Leeds, who have made light work of their first season back in the top-flight, and a United side whose title bid has faded in recent weeks?
