Everton striker Cenk Tosun has re-joined previous club Besikas on loan for the rest of the season.
Tosun, 29, left Besiktas for Everton in January 2018 in a £27 million deal, but the Turk has netted just 11 goals in 58 appearances for the club.
He was loaned out last January to Crystal Palace, but an anterior cruciate ligament injury curtailed that deal.
Now, Tosun spend the remainder of this campaign back in his native Turkey with Besiktas, who he scored 64 goals in 142 games for between 2014 and 2017.
Despite Everton having only one other senior striker in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tosun has been limited to only seven outings this season.
He has scored once in that time - in January’s FA Cup win over Rotherham, which was his last Everton appearance.
Tosun, who was left out of the matchday squad altogether for Everton’s 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle on Saturday, is out of contract at Everton in June 2022.
If Everton are to add striking reinforcements, they have until 11pm GMT on Monday to do so, at which time the January transfer window will shut.
