Everton host Watford tomorrow looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss last weekend against rivals West Ham United. It’s been a difficult week for the Blues who lost key midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure for an extended period of time due to a stress fracture, and also found out that they would not be getting back star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin from injury any time soon either. In positive news though, all the remaining injured players resumed training with the group, including Richarlison, Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and even Cenk Tosun.
Speaking to the media ahead of the clash tomorrow, manager Rafa Benitez was asked about the Everton injury situation.
“To be fair we have some issues but we are bringing back some players little by little and hopefully we will have more coming back soon.
“Dominic as you know had an injury and so we had to sort it out. How long he is going to be out we need to see. It depends on how he reacts to the treatment, but we will not see him for four or five weeks, could be.
“We will see later what is going on, I don’t like to put a timeframe, I think it is important to see how the player is improving and how he feels.”
