This week on School of Science Radio, Geno and Matthew were joined by Om Arvind of SB Nation’s Real Madrid site, Managing Madrid, as James Rodriguez’s move from the Bernabeu to Goodison Park moves ever closer.

We put all the burning questions about the Colombian attacking midfielder to Om, including whether Carlo Ancelotti can get the best out of player he has already signed twice before, where his best position is, and whether the reported £20 million signing of Rodriguez, 29, on a three-year deal should represent good business for Everton.

Later, Geno and Matthew discussed the week’s other Everton stories, such as the other impending arrivals of fellow midfielders Allan and Abdoulaye Doucouré, DC United being linked with Gylfi Sigurdsson, Everton rumoured to be keen on Manchester United’s Sergio Romero, and the new five-year contracts for Michael Keane and Anthony Gordon.
