This week on School of Science Radio, former Everton midfielder Lee Carsley joined Matthew to look back on his six years at Goodison Park.

Carsley made 199 appearances for the Blues from 2002 to 2008, and was an integral part of David Moyes’ 2004-05 side which finished fourth, scoring the winner against Liverpool that season, too.

We chatted about his midfield partnership with Thomas Gravesen, that derby goal as well as many other personal highlights, what it was like to play in a Moyes team, and much more.

Later, Geno and Matthew looked back at Everton’s opening pre-season friendly of 2020-21, a 3-3 draw at Blackpool on Saturday, as well as the new third kit and the latest transfer stories regarding Allan, Abdoulaye Doucouré, James Rodriguez and Moise Kean.
