Was he fouled more times than he actually touched the ball? Everton fans are well accustomed to seeing Richarlison on the ground after a foul. Had Everton’s best chance on a ball that screamed wide. Still looking to get back into rhythm with DCL.
Had a couple looks on net. One shot right on Spurs’ goal and a neat backheel flick that didn’t amount to anything. Was involved in some quality build-up play, but he looked a little off today.
One of the many blues who had a subdued outing. Wasn’t able to get much going. Would have liked to have seen him take the set piece that Bernard flubbed.
Not his best match. Several errant balls indicated that his passing was off. Too many clumsy fouls saw him receive a yellow. Could have received on earlier than the 86’. A slow game for the Portuguese midfielder.
Looked sluggish and was beaten several times (Son put the ball through his legs for a shot) but overall was okay. A lukewarm performance (like many of his teammates).
Had a quiet game in which he didn’t create but also didn’t foul or give the ball away much. Forgot he was on the pitch at times.
Set piece delivery wasn’t on today but did well defending on the wings. Made a good recovery run/block on Lucas Moura inside the box.
Not much to talk about in this game. Poor challenge on Lo Celso which resulted in a horrible sight for Everton fans. Wish him a speedy recovery from what hopefully won’t be a serious injury.
Extremely unlucky with the own goal. Was trying to get back when the ball deflected off him. Otherwise was strong and composed at the heart of the Everton defense.
Was speedy down the wings but couldn’t help create anything from the right side.
There are two Pickford’s. The one that makes several quality saves inside the 18 on Son, and the one that lets a cross go straight through his hands leaving you scratching your head wondering which one will cost/win Everton the game.
Mina 5 (35-minute substitute)
Didn’t do well to defend Son at one point, but other than that looked capable carrying the ball forward.
Gordon 6 (45-minute substitute)
Came on for Iwobi at halftime and looked lively, even contributing a shot which went right at Lloris. Applied good pressure on the defense and had some hard tackles. An overall contributing force in the game. Dear Carlo, maybe start AG over Davies…
Bernard 4 (67-minute substitute)
Blasted a set piece directly into the wall and had one serviceable cross. Did he have any other touches?
Kean 5 (77-minute substitute)
There were flashes, or A flash, which was a shot that went straight at Lloris. Not sure if he should be given a full 90 to show what he can do or if he is a little overhyped.
Sidibe 4 (77-minute substitute)
Not much to go on except when the let the ball roll out of bounds and gave possession away.
