Geno and Matthew are back to dissect one of the most gruelling weeks of Everton in recent history

A wretched week for Everton saw them lose meekly at Tottenham, scrape an undeserved draw with Southampton and take a thorough beating at Wolverhampton.

And on the latest episode of SOS Radio, Geno and Matthew had the displeasure of unpicking all of Carlo Ancelotti’s side’s failings in both the Saints stalemate and the Wolves whitewash.

They also discussed some of the pressing issues of the week, including:

  • What do Everton do with Jordan Pickford after another galling performance from England’s number one at Molineux?
  • How on earth does Ancelotti salvage anything from our midfield for the remaining three games of the season?
  • With Everton’s campaign pretty much done as far as Europa League hopes are concerned, is it time to give more of the youth a chance?

The guys then look ahead to Everton’s next game, the visit of Aston Villa on Thursday. Villa earned a vital win over Crystal Palace in their last match, and still four points from safety, will come to Goodison Park desperate for victory. Can Everton match their motivation?
