The current lockdown enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic has been driving many of us stir-crazy, but it appears the quarantine was just too much for at least one footballer.
Everton have issued a statement strongly rebuking young Italian star Moise Kean after the striker posted a video of a wild party at his Cheshire apartment, according to the Mirror. Kean had sent video clips to a private Snapchat group where they appear to have been leaked from. In the videos female guests at his party were seen to be giving lap dances and other suggestive actions, while one of the pictures was labelled somewhat ironically as ‘quarantine clean’.
The Blues’ statement came down hard on the 20-year-old in no uncertain terms -
“Everton are appalled to learn of an incident in which a first-team player ignored Government guidance and club policy in relation to the coronavirus crisis.
“The club has strongly expressed its disappointment to the player and made it clear that such actions are completely unacceptable.
“The amazing people in the NHS deserve the utmost respect for their hard work and sacrifice.
“The best way to show them respect is by doing everything we can to protect them.”
Disciplinary action will likely follow his shenanigans, likely in the form of a fine. This is not the first time Kean finds himself in trouble, having previously been dropped from the Italy Under-21 team. Along with traveling roommate AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo, the pair were punished for repeated tardiness by being overlooked for a crucial European Championships qualifier.
