Everton’s festive TV schedule had been revealed, with the Toffees facing seven games in a hectic December, including two in the space of 48 hours.

Only one fixture has seen its day switched, with the midweek clash against Leicester moving from Tuesday 15th to Wednesday 16th, with the rest having their kick-off times moved for live TV coverage.

Every Premier League game will be shown live in the UK during the month with the majority of supporters still unable to attend matches because of coronavirus restrictions.

The month starts with a trip to Burnley, which will now be the lunchtime game on Saturday 5 December (an early start for US Toffees I’m afraid)

The Liverpool city region was placed into tier 2 of the government’s new tiered system of restrictions on Thursday, meaning up to 2,000 fans will be allowed back into Goodison from the start of next month.

The first game with supporters present again will be the clash with Chelsea on December 12, which will now kick-off at 8pm GMT.

Next up is that trip to Leicester, which will kick-off at 6pm GMT on Wednesday 16 December before Arsenal arrive at Goodison on Saturday 19 at 5.30pm.

Attention then turns back to the Carabao Cup, with the Blues hosting Manchester United in the quarter-final on Wednesday 23rd at 8pm.

The Boxing Day trip to Sheffield United has been moved to an evening kick-off at 8pm, but the Toffees then have just 48 hours to recover before welcoming Manchester City to Goodison at 8pm on December 28.

Twelve of the 20 Premier League teams have a similar rapid turnaround, including opponents City, while the other eight, including Liverpool and Manchester United, have an extra day to recover.

The Toffees are also scheduled to take on West Ham on January 2, though TV coverage of that game has yet to be decided.
