Sunday’s loss was a helpful reminder that this Everton side are far from the finished goods, with a long way to go yet, despite the Toffees holding on to top spot. [RBM]

Everton have until 1pm today (Tuesday) to present any evidence they have to appeal Kevin Friend’s decision to send off Lucas Digne in the game against the Saints.

Speaking of Spurs, Harry Redknapp apparently wanted to make a transfer swap with the Blues, with the David Moyes rejecting a deal for the struggling (at the time) Gareth Bale with Leighton Baines going the other way. [Echo]
