Everton attacking midfielder Antony Evans has completed a permanent move to Bundesliga outfit SC Paderborn 07.

Evans, who was out of contract at Goodison Park in the summer, departs the club he initally joined at the age of nine having previously taken in loan spells at Leagues One and Two with Blackpool and Morecambe respectively.

But the 21-year-old never made a first team appearance for the Blues, having chalked up 18 appearances for David Unsworth’s under-23 side this season, scoring nine goals in that time.

Evans has signed a deal until June 2022 with Paderborn, who sit in the relegation zone in Germany’s top tier after their promotion from 2. Bundesliga last season.

He follows in the footsteps of the likes of right-back Jonjoe Kenny and winger Ademola Lookman, both of whom have previously made loan moves from Goodison to the Bundesliga; to FC Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig respectively.
