The first international break - aka the bane of club football - of the new season is upon us and Everton have a number of players from the senior and youth sides all away on national team duty.
With just Jean-Philippe Gbamin on the injured list right now, manager Marco Silva will be sweating on the fitness of all his players for the next ten days or so, here’s wishing them all safe travels and a prompt return with no issues to the Blues.

Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane are the two representatives for the Blues in the Three Lions side looking to seal progress to Euro 2020.

Tom Davies is the sole representative here as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jonjoe Kenny and Kieran Dowell are now ineligible for the U21 side.
Lewis Gibson has had a good summer and will play for the Under-20s looking to break into the U-21 side.
Anthony Gordon is probably the most in-form Blue right now and will get a chance to keep his scoring streak going. Is there a call-up to the senior side in his near future? Silva is certainly going to be watching how he does during the break.
Lewis Dobbin, Reece Welch and a midfielder to watch - Tyler Onyango - will be in action for the England U-17 side playing in the Syrenka Cup being hosted in Poland.

Richarlison will take his newfound confidence after breaking his scoring duck against Lincoln City and then bagging a game-winning brace against Wolverhampton over the weekend.

Yerry Mina has looked solid in the middle of the Everton defence, and takes that form into a pair of friendlies for Los Cafeteros.

Gylfi Sigurdsson was pulling the strings for the Blues in the games last week, and will look to reprise that role for his national team as well.

Cenk Tosun laid on the winner against the Imps, and is going to try to keep showing Silva that he needs to be getting more minutes for the Blues. It’ll be a surprise come next Thursday if he’s not been on the scoresheet during this break.

Alex Iwobi has looked excellent for the Blues in just a few appearances, and will play for the Super Eagles in a friendly next week.

Moise Kean has been dropped from the senior side by Roberto Mancini apparently due to some disciplinary issues early in the summer for the youth side.. but then he’s been named to the youth squad, so that’s odd. The striker has yet to open his Everton scoring account, but should come back with a hatful of goals from these two games.

Nathangelo Markelo gets his chance with the Dutch Under-20s, looking to break into the Under-21 side for the Euro qualifiers before the October international break.

Teenage midfielder Einar Iversen has already been promoted to David Unsworth’s Under-23 side, and this week will try to show he truly belongs there too.
