How did Everton’s out-on-loan players get on?

After some last-minute moves, the Blues now have 14 players out-on-loan until January at least. But how did they get on this week? Let’s take a look…

The Youngsters

Kieran Dowell – Derby County

Thankfully missed Derby’s woeful 3-0 League Cup defeat to rivals Nottingham Forest, but he did start their just as disappointing 3-0 defeat at Brentford, although he was replaced early in the second half.

County are struggling under the stewardship of Philip Cocu thus far and he could well ring the changes next week in a bid to turn things around and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dowell as one of the players to miss out.

Joao Virginia – Reading

Bench again. There's been talk about canceling his loan and bringing him back, but for now he remains at Reading.

Nathan Broadhead – Burton Albion

Missed Burton’s last couple of games through injury.

Jonjoe Kenny – Schalke

Made headlines for all the right reasons this weekend by thundering the third goal in Schalke’s 3-0 win over Hertha Berlin.

Hasn’t missed a minute of action for Schalke yet and this is looking like a very useful move for him.

Josh Bowler – Hull City

Played an hour of Hull’s penalty defeat to Preston in the League Cup but was back on the bench again at the weekend. Yet to make much of an impact at the KCOM Stadium.

Korede Adedoyin – Hamilton Academical

Still yet to make a senior appearance for Hamilton.

Fraser Hornby – KV Kortrijk

Secured an interesting move to the Belgian top flight but wasn’t ready for the weekend’s game.

Callum Connolly – Lincoln City

Made his debut for Lincoln immediately after joining on a season-long loan from the Blues and had a massive impact on the game from the middle of the park, including this wonderful defence splitting pass in their 2-0 win over Joey Barton’s Fleetwood…

The Deadwood

Luke GarbuttIpswich Town

Remains out with a knee injury.

Matthew Pennington – Hull City

Played the full game in Hull’s 2-2 penalty defeat to Preston in the League Cup but was once again missing from their squad for the league game at the weekend.

Mo Besic – Sheffield United

Made his Blades’ debut and impressed as they beat Blackburn 2-1 in the League Cup but returned to the bench for their impressive 2-2 draw at Chelsea.

Shani Tarashaj - Emmen

Missing as usual.

Sandro Ramirez – Real Valladolid

Still recovering after being clattered by Joel Robles a couple of weeks ago.

Yannick Bolasie – Sporting Lisbon

Secured a last-ditch season-long long deal to Sporting Lisbon on the European Transfer Deadline Day. Interesting move for the 30-year-old.
