Everton have been drawn at home to Watford FC in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.

After seeing off Lincoln City and Sheffield Wednesday, the next team standing in the Blues’ way will be Quique Sanchez Flores’ side, who are currently bottom of the Premier League.

The tie will take place on Tuesday, October 29 with a 7.45pm GMT kick-off, in-between Everton’s Premier League fixtures away to Brighton & Hove Albion and at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

Last time they met, Bernard scored the only goal as the Blues beat the Hornets to earn their first league win of the season in August. Since that time things have gone from bad to worse for Watford, leading to the sacking of Javi Gracia.

Everton have never won this competition, and since reaching the semi-finals in 2015-16, have only made it this far on one occasion since, losing a fourth round tie to Chelsea 2-1 in October 2017.

Watford beat Coventry City and Swansea City to make it to the fourth round.
