Everton central defender Matthew Pennington has joined Championship side Hull City on a season-long loan.
Pennington, 24, has also spent the last two campaigns also on loan in the Championship with Leeds United and Ipswich Town, and will return to the second tier with the Tigers this term.

It is the sixth loan of Pennington’s career, having also represented Tranmere Rovers, Coventry City and Walsall.
He featured in the Blues’ pre-season programme but, even with Everton struggling to add a centre-back before today’s transfer deadline, is clearly not part of manager Marco Silva’s immediate plans.
He has not played for competitively for the Blues since April 2017, but still has two years left on a contract he signed with the club in May 2018.
Pennington, who has scored once in nine Everton appearances, will be reunited with Toffees team-mate Josh Bowler, with the winger also spending this season on loan at the KCOM Stadium.
