Wow. Wowowowowowowowowoowowow. Wow.

This is huge.

You can watch all Everton Ladies games for free this season through the FA Player app. Anywhere in the world. Seriously. This is happening!

Wanna see defender Gabby George slide tackle Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema? There’s an app for that. Wanna watch new Finnish goalkeeper Tinja-Riikka Korpela make an awesome save? There’s an app for that. Curious to see which one of the five new signings will make the starting 11 and help the Toffees climb up the table? THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT AND IT’S FREE!

Here’s how to get it:

  1. On September 2nd, download The FA Player app from the iOS and Google Play app stores. (If you are able, please help your grandpa and nan with this if they are not tech savvy.)
  2. If you can’t attend in person, watch the first game of the season on September 8th against Birmingham. Full schedule here.
  3. Let us know what you think!

According to the FA website:

“The FA Player will show all 132 Barclays FA Women’s Super League games live except for games being shown on BT Sport, which will be available via audio only in the UK. The app will also show one live FA Women’s Championship match per round. In addition there will be highlights, top goals, previews, features and archive games available from across the broader women’s domestic and international game including exclusive England Lionesses content.”

The BBC had reported that the club is revamping the new Everton Ladies stadium Walton Hall Park so that it would meet WSL requirements of a TV gantry for filming matches.

In true Everton form, the club has yet to even tweet about this monumental occasion five hours after the announcement has been made. Sigh.

This is a huge step in the right direction for the newly named Barclays FA Women’s Super League and we can’t wait to watch along with you!
