Everton started off the 2019-20 Premier League season with a 0-0 draw away at Crystal Palace in a hard-fought game. The Blues created a few chances but were mostly on the back foot for most of the second half, especially after the introduction of transfer target Wilfried Zaha late on, and that was compounded once Morgan Schneiderlin was sent off after picking up a petulant booking and then following it up with a rash tackle.
