Everton earlier today completed the signing of Ivory Coast international midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin on a five-year-deal to replace Idrissa Gueye.
The midfielder will wear the #25 shirt for the Toffees, keeping the same number he wore in the Bundesliga last season for Mainz 05.

Speaking to evertontv after his signing about why he picked the #25, the midfielder said -
“It has been my number since I started to play professionally.
“My birthday is on the 25th [September 1995] and my sister was also born on the 25th.
“I have worn 25 at all my clubs and I am happy I have kept this number at Everton.”
