Everton’s loan exodus to the Championship continues, with another youngster sent out for the upcoming season.
Promising right winger Josh Bowler will join up with Hull City at their preseason training camp in Marbella, Spain after signing the loan deal. Bowler was also handed a one-year extension to his current contract.
The 20-year-old completed an excellent season with the Blues’ Under-23 side, winning the double under David Unsworth and this move will give him an excellent opportunity to play regular competitive football next season.

Congrats and good luck, @JoshBowler10! #EFC
Bowler signed on from the Queens Park Rangers youth side two summers ago, and enters the second last season of his three plus one year deal looking to prove himself worthy of a new contract. While he scored the key goal that handed the Blues the Premier League 2 title, the goals didn’t necessarily come regularly for the tricky winger. He scored thrice and had only one assist in 19 appearances last season, and he failed to trouble the scorers in his debut season in 16 appearances.
Middlesbrough, Derby County and Birmingham City were all rumoured to be hot on his heels as well this summer, but it looks like Marco Silva’s links at his former club might have sealed the deal for Hull.
He is the third new signing for head coach Grant McCann, who will be looking to fill out his squad with just 16 senior players under contract and a long, arduous Championship season beckoning.
