Multiple media sources are reporting that Ademola Lookman is nearing an Everton exit.
RB Leipzig’s pursuit of the young winger has gone on for a long time, but the German side have finally relented to the Toffees’ transfer fee demands and the two sides appear to have an agreement now for £22.5 million (about €25m).
Ademola Lookman off to RB Leipzig. £22.5m and almost all cash up front. Everton have doubled their money but genuine disappointment his talent remained unfulfilled at Goodison Park. Rejected big offer from Leipzig last summer but Lookman simply couldn’t make the breakthrough.

Everton seemed adamant on retaining Lookman last season after his loan spell at the Bundesliga side, but he found it difficult getting game time under Marco Silva. When questioned, the manager insisted that the player had loads of potential but was simply not showing enough during training to merit a starting spot.
In the player’s defence though, he was quite effective in some of the little action he did see, scoring once and adding two assists in 830 minutes across 24 games. It always looked like the youngster was going to leave and explains why Everton are so aggressively pursuing a winger-type forward this summer.
Lookman will leave the club having featured in 48 games, with four goals and two assists, but his best moment as an Evertonian will likely be his debut game, when he scored in a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester City at Goodison Park.
