Everton have announced more pre-season plans, with the squad set to take part in a tournament in Germany in late July.

The Blues will be one of three clubs competing in The Opel Cup, along with the hosts, FC Mainz 05, and Sevilla, on Saturday, July 27.

The tournament, which will be held at Mainz’s home ground, the 34,000-capacity Opel Arena, will consist of 60-minute matches, with kick-off times yet to be confirmed. Everton will face both teams on the same day.

Mainz finished 12th in the German Bundesliga last season, while Sevilla – who Everton drew 2-2 with at Goodison Park in a 2017 pre-season friendly - took sixth place in La Liga.

This brings the number of pre-season fixtures for Everton up to seven, with the Toffees also facing Kenya’s Kariobangi Sharks, FC Sion, AS Monaco, Wigan Athletic, and Werder Bremen.

There has yet to be a friendly at Goodison announced for this summer, before Marco Silva’s side get their Premier League campaign underway at Crystal Palace on Saturday, August 10.
