The dust has now settled on Marco Silva’s maiden season at Goodison Park, with Everton finishing strongly to end up eighth in the Premier League.
The Blues found the net 62 times in 42 games this term, a marked improvement over the 61 goals from their 51 matches last year.
There were some real gems among the 2018-19 collection, too, so which five were the best of the lot?
5th: Lucas Digne vs Man Utd
The left-back had a superb first season in English football following his £18 million move from Barcelona last summer, and this was undoubtedly one of his highlights.
With Everton leading a woeful Manchester United 2-0, goalkeeper David de Gea fisted away a Toffees corner, but made the fatal error of placing the ball straight into the path of the Frenchman.
Digne then half-volleyed an ferocious drive through a crowd of players in the penalty area and past de Gea, who was powerless to stop Everton’s player of the season putting the Blues three up in a game they would go on to win 4-0.
4th: Lucas Digne vs Watford
All four of Digne’s goals this season were outside of the penalty area, and this one against Watford FC was the pick of the bunch.
The clock had struck the 95th minute, Everton had played poorly in the second half and trailed the Hornets 2-1 having taken an early lead through Richarlison. They needed a moment of magic, and fast.
And how Digne delivered, executing his free-kick perfectly to snatch a point for the Blues with virtually the final kick of the game.
3rd: Richarlison vs Brighton (first goal)
It may come as a surprise to some people to see this ranked so highly, but in terms of team goals, there were none better from Everton this season than this from Richarlison.
Kurt Zouma headed a Brighton & Hove Albion corner away, before Gylfi Sigurðsson picked the loose ball up and darted from one end of the pitch to the other.
After playing a neat one-two with Bernard, Sigurðsson picked out Richarlison, playing up front, who finished smartly to put the Blues ahead.
With such pace and guile, it was the sort of goal that you just could not have envisaged Everton scoring last season, when their play under both Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce was often far too laborious and tepid.
It was a welcome reminder of why Evertonians, no matter what various pundits made of it, were right to demand more than Allardyce’s style of play at the back end of 2017-18.
Runner-up: André Gomes vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
In one of Everton’s worst performances of the season came one of their best goals of the campaign.
Wolves dominated proceedings at Goodison in February and fully merited their 3-1 victory (and eventual 7th spot ahead of the Blues), with Gomes’ blockbuster the only memorable moment from a royal blue perspective.
It was perhaps the sole moment of genuine quality from Everton that day, as Gomes received Cenk Tosun’s pass before lashing an fierce drive past his Portuguese compatriot, Rui Patrício, to equalise.
It was Gomes’ one and only Everton goal during his loan spell from Barcelona this season. Here’s hoping that it was not his last.
Winner: Gylfi Sigurðsson at Leicester
With a tense game against Leicester City approaching the final stages tightly locked at 1-1, up stepped Sigurðsson to take control of proceedings.
Not only did his sublime piece of skill leave James Maddison in his wake, he then fired an unstoppable strike for at least 25 yards past the helpless Kasper Schmeichel, to score the winning goal for Everton on 77 minutes and secure Silva’s first away win as manager.
A goal that led to utter pandemonium among the 3,000-strong away end and rightly won Everton’s official goal of the season award, too.
For all of his critics - and at times this season, much of them were thoroughly deserved - Sigurðsson ended the season as Everton’s joint-top scorer with 14 goals.
But none came anywhere near to being as spectacular as this.
