Your daily dose of Everton news and rumours

Despite looming near the relegation zone for a better part of the season, Everton’s next opponent Newcastle are not a team to take lightly. After failing to win in their first 10 games of the season, a return to the Championship seemed likely for the Magpies. However, thanks to strong defensive performances and a team-leading eight goals by Salomón Rondón, Newcastle now find themselves only six points below the Blues and hold a four game win streak at home, one of those wins coming against Manchester City. Everton will look to break that streak when they travel to St James’ Park this Saturday.
