Your daily dose of Everton news and rumours
After 26 failed attempts at beating a top-6 side, Everton finally got the monkey off their backs with a 2-0 victory against Chelsea on Sunday. Everton fans had every right to be worried heading into the matchup following Chelsea’s 5-0 thrashing of Dynamo Kiev three days prior, and it certainly looked like it was going to be a long day at the office after a Chelsea-dominant first half. However, Everton got a new spring in their step in the second half and made Chelsea pay for wasting their chances in the first. Goals by Richarlison and Sigurdsson helped Everton on their way to a long-awaited win at Goodison.
