Everton continue to be linked with FC Porto winger Yacine Brahimi, after Sport Witness reported that both the Toffees and Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on the Algerian.

The article, cited from Portuguese tabloid daily newspaper Correio da Manhã, states that Brahimi, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is interested in a move to the Premier League.

Both Everton and Wolves are said to have made ‘proposals’ to the 29-year-old.

The Blues were strongly tipped to sign Brahimi in August 2016, the first transfer window since majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and then-manager Ronald Koeman joined the club.

They were supposedly close to a deadline day £35 million move for Brahimi, though such a deal never materialised.

Brahimi, who has scored seven goals in 27 Porto appearances for Porto this season, would face strong competition at Goodison Park, with Richarlison, Bernard, Theo Walcott and Ademola Lookman all vying for places on the wing.

The Blues’ interest in fellow wide man Hirving Lozano, of PSV Eindhoven, is also well-documented, though at 23, would almost certainly cost far more than a deal for Brahimi.
