Everton striker Chloe Kelly is having a wonderful start of the season. She made headlines for her long range goal against Bristol and was named Barclay’s FA Women’s Super League Player of the Month for September.
And to top it all off, she was called up for an England camp and was included on the roster in the Lionesses’ friendly win over Portugal. The Lionesses have sold out Wembley for their friendly against Germany in November and hopefully Kelly will be included in the squad.
We can FINALLY announce: @wembleystadium is SOLD OUT!

Recently, Kelly sat down for a video series entitled My Journal to talk a little bit more about her personality. For instance, she describes herself as “down to earth” and “shy” which may surprise some people who have seen her style of play. Growing up, she played football with her five older brothers in a cage on an estate but she says that she wouldn’t change a single thing about her upbringing.
She also admits that Everton haven’t had the best results the last few years but she promises that this season will be different. So far, she has been right. The Toffees are currently in fifth place thanks in part to Kelly’s form. She is currently tied with Danielle von de Donk as the top goalscorer in the league with three goals.

Everton face Brighton & Hove Albion at home on Sunday, which can be viewed via the FA Player app. Coincidentally this is just a day after the men’s side takes on the Seagulls by the seaside this weekend.
Up the Toffees!
