It’s been a strange year so far for Everton youngster Callum Connolly but hopefully the second half of the season goes better for him than the first.
Connolly has been recalled from his loan at Wigan Athletic and is instead to be sent out to Bolton Wanderers for the remainder of the season.
The versatile player who can play at fullback and defensive midfielder has featured in 19 games for the Latics so far, but is yet to establish himself anywhere really - he played 13 times as defensive midfielder, 4 games at right midfield and a game apiece at either fullback position, scoring once.

Only 21, Connolly has been used in preseason by the Everton senior side as a backup fullback with one competitive appearance at right back during the second half late in the 2015-16 season.
The Trotters are wallowing at second-from-bottom in the Championship and hopefully Connolly can win himself a starting spot and push his side to survival.
