Even more players have been added to the out-on-loan list, with Oumar Niasse joining Mason Holgate, Shayne Lavery and Kieran Dowell in January deals.
With enough players to make up a full-first team squad now experiencing temporary moves, let’s see how they got on this week.
The Youngsters
Henry Onyekuru
Great week for the Nigerian forward as he bagged his first senior hat-trick as Galatasaray battered Ankaragucu 6-0. Here’s hoping for some more consistency from the youngster now.
The moves you make when you get your fist hatrick ⚽⚽⚽! A great start to the year and team performance! All Glory to God! ❤ pic.twitter.com/kBtbLnJlTj

Also came off the bench for Gala’s 1-0 cup win over Boluspor on Monday night.
Antonee Robinson
Remains out injured following surgery.
Callum Connolly
An unused sub as Wigan Athletic lost 1-0 to Sheffield Wednesday. Struggled to keep a place in the starting line-up since his move.
Nikola Vlasic
No more competitive matches until March for Vlasic and CSKA.
Joe Williams
Missed out on Bolton Wanderers’ 2-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion due to a thigh complaint that has kept him out of action since the turn of the year.
Matthew Pennington
With Ipswich Town bringing in a new centre-half, Pennington has moved out to right-back for the past couple of games. Couldn’t prevent his struggling side from losing 2-0 to Blackburn Rovers, though.
Keiran Dowell
Yet to make his first league start for the Blades, but came on from the bench once more for the final 24 minutes of Sheffield United’s 1-0 defeat to Swansea City.
Shayne Lavery
No action for Falkirk this weekend having already been knocked out of the Scottish Cup.
Mason Holgate
After grabbing an assist last week, Holgate put in another impressive display at right-back for West Brom in their 2-0 win over Bolton. Picked up a yellow card but showed some silky touches too.
Holgate for West Brom taking the piss just that little bit too much for Bolton’s liking

The Deadwood
Ashley Williams
Played as part of a back three as Stoke City beat league leaders Leeds United 2-1.
Cuco Martina
Watch Stoke’s win from the bench.
Luke Garbutt
Watched Oxford beat Portsmouth 2-1 from the bench.
Shani Tarashaj
Injured…
Kevin Mirallas
Came on for the final five minutes and helped Fiorentina claw back in their thrilling 3-3 draw with Sampdoria.
Mo Besic
Another solid showing from Besic in the middle of the park for Middlesbrough against Millwall before being subbed off on 69 minutes with the match ending 1-1.
Yannick Bolasie
Started for Aston Villa but had little effect and was subbed off after 59 minutes of their 2-2 draw with Hull. Bolasie has now opted to return to Everton and fight for his place.
Hard to see him return to the starting line-up at any point, but the tricky winger has proved dangerous from the bench for Villa this term and could do the same for the Blues with Theo Walcott offering little currently.
Sandro Ramirez
Having recovered from a hamstring problem, Sandro came on for the final 15 minutes of Real Sociedad’s 2-2 draw with Rayo Vallecano. Still no goals.
Oumar Niasse
Was thrust into the Bluedbirds’ starting line-up straight after completing his loan move to Cardiff City, but was subbed off after 64 minutes of their 3-0 defeat to Newcastle.
