Everton host newly-promoted Fulham today looking to ease that pressure on the manager with a strong performance that is repaid with three points. Two goals scored and just one point from the last two home games at Goodison Park have the fanbase worried, and Marco Silva is starting to face some discomfort.
Fulham spent heavily during the summer transfer window and while they have added quality all over the pitch and Aleksandar Mitrovic is the top scorer in the Premier League with five goals in six games, they remain quite abysmal away from Craven Cottage. In their three road games so far, they’ve been beaten 3-0 at Manchester City, drawn 2-2 at Brighton and Hove Albion and lost 3-1 at Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, the Blues have scored just eight goals in six games without any of the strikers finding the back of the net (Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored from the winger position). Even more worryingly, the Blues have now conceded 11 goals and haven’t had a single clean sheet to show for this season as yet.
