More of the same from the Vlasic and the young Blues

There’s a pattern emerging among these Everton loan recaps…

Nikola Vlasic is on fire, the rest of the young lads are holding their own. And, in truth, nothing changed over the weekend.

Read on for what is effectively a repeat of last week’s loan recap.

The Youngsters

Henry Onyekuru

The Nigerian youngster returned to the Galatasaray starting line-up, but the Turkish side had a woeful day, losing 3-0 to lowly Akhisar. Onyekuru was almost anonymous despite playing the full 90 minutes.

That’s two bad defeats this season for Galatasaray, but they still sit in second having won their other four league games.

Antonee Robinson

Another 90 minutes for Robinson as Wigan’s ever-present left-back helped his side to a 1-0 win over Bristol City on Friday night.

Callum Connolly

Connolly emerged from the bench against Bristol City helping the Latics hold on to their 1-0 lead. The versatile youngster is still yet to find his position at the DW Stadium.

Nikola Vlasic

Another game, another goal, another man of the match performance from Nikola Vlasic, as CSKA Moscow earned a point in their city derby against Spartak.

Wearing number eight for CSKA, Vlasic went close with a head in the opening stages before he scored a beautifully executed equaliser from the edge of the box in the second half.

Joe Williams

Two young Blues went head-to-head at Portman Road as basement side Ipswich were held to a 0-0 draw by 10-man Bolton.

Joe Williams played the full game in the middle of the park for Bolton in a tight, gritty game with few chances.

Matthew Pennington

Pennington faced Williams, with a first clean sheet of the season for the Ipswich centre-half.

The Deadwood

Ashley Williams

Williams watched on from the bench for Stoke, but managed to avoid trying to celebrate any of Blackburn’s goals as the Rovers won 3-2 at the bet365 Stadium.

Cuco Martina

Martina played the full 90 minutes in Stoke’s loss.

Luke Garbutt

Luke Garbutt kept his place in the Oxford United side but was on the wrong side of a 2-1 defeat at home to Walsall.

Shani Tarashaj

Nada.

Kevin Mirallas

Came off the bench for the final 25 minutes of Fiorentina’s 3-0 win over SPAL. Looked incisive and hungry in that time.

Mo Besic

Was introduced on the hour mark of Middlesbrough’s goalless draw at home to Swansea.

Yannick Bolasie

Emerged from the bench for the final 25 minutes but was unable to prevent his side falling to a 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Sandro Ramirez

A knee injury kept Sandro from making his Real Sociedad debut over the weekend.
