Watford FC have continued to seek punitive damages against Everton following their accusations that the Blues illegally ‘tapped up’ Marco Silva while he was still their manager last season when Ronald Koeman was sacked at Goodison Park.

The Times reported last night that Everton are facing an independent legal inquiry following the failure of the two clubs to come to a mediated agreement.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference today, Silva said -

“Really I don’t have thoughts with this situation.

“I don’t lose my focus. I am calm with the situation. My focus is on what is important for me and the club, which is the next game.”

He was pressed on when he thought we would hear something about the punishments to b levied, Silva refused to be drawn into the matter.

“I don’t hear nothing, it’s not important for me and for us as a club.”

Per the report Everton could be facing a huge fine and/or an unprecedented points deduction, so it’ll be interesting to see what comes out of it.
