It’s starting to look as if Everton will sign not one, but two central defenders on deadline day. With the purchase of Yerry Mina just about wrapped up, L’Equipe report that a loan agreement with Chelsea has been reached for the promising young Frenchman Kurt Zouma.

Getting two defenders through the door on deadline day was always an imperative for Marcel Brands, though it seemed like an impossibility the later the window wound down.
Zouma and Mina to go along with Michael Keane, Phil Jagielka, and Mason Holgate would turn Everton’s defense from a weakness to a potential strength, and represent a job extremely well done by the Blues’ recruitment team.
Everton have just over an hour to complete any remaining paperwork, and the deals can be subject to a medical, so it isn’t as if Zouma would need to get to Liverpool from London in 30 minutes or anything crazy.
Cross your fingers!
