Yerry Mina having Everton medical ahead of transfer from Barcelona

After dragging on for ages, it seems that Everton and Barcelona have finally been able to push a deal for Yerry Mina across the line. According to Sky Sports, the Colombian center back is currently taking his Everton medical in Spain.

Everton officials are in Barcelona trying to finalise a deal for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina, Sky Sports News understands - with the player having a medical in the Spanish city to save time.

With just hours left to go in the transfer window, it is paramount that the Blues get at least one deal done for a defender, and hopefully two. Marco Silva has been adamant about signing some center halves, and Yerry Mina represents a major upgrade on Everton’s current options.

Perhaps Marcel Brands can have Andre Gomes stored in Mina’s luggage, and we can all turn our attention towards a second center back, like Kurt Zouma or Marcos Rojo.
