Muhamed Besic is garnering quite a bit of interest this morning, with both Leeds United and Middlesbrough both in for the Everton midfielder.

Earlier we heard that Leeds were interested in the player with their manager Marcelo Bielsa identifying Besic as one of the players he wants to bring in. The sum they’re offering is £4.5million (Mirror), but apparently Everton are holding out for £6million (Echo).

Meanwhile, Boro aren’t giving up that easy either. Besic played at Middlesbrough for the second half of last season on loan, and made an impression on the Championship side, who came close to promotion to the Premier League. Sounds like they’ve offered £4million for the Bosnian. (Sky)

Both sides are okay with bringing him on loan, with a deal to buy later.

The man himself had said earlier this preseason that he was happy to see how things would play out -

“I’m happy, I’m happy just to be back but we will see what will happen.

“I don’t know, it is not in my hands.”

Indeed, let’s see what Marcel Brands decides.
