Just a couple of days after being linked with a surprising return to his former side Crystal Palace, word now is that Middlesbrough in the Championship are looking at Yannick Bolasie.
Flush with cash after selling prodigious dribbler Adama Traore to Wolverhampton Wanderers, ironically Everton’s Saturday opponents, Boro are looking to replace him with the Toffees winger whose fate seems sealed with the news that free agent Bernard is headed to Goodison Park today.
Boro will be making £18m on Traore, and they picked up a further £15m a few days ago after selling defender Ben Gibson to Burnley. The Blues meanwhile are said to be expecting about £15m for Bolasie.
There are good relations between the two clubs following the loan of midfielder Muhamed Besic to the Championship side last season, and there was even earlier talk of Boro returning for the player again but nothing has materialized as yet.
