It was a mostly quiet Sunday with not much going on in transfer rumour activity, until later in the day when the news broke that Yerry Mina could be on his way to Everton after the Blues agreed a fee with Barcelona. [RBM]

The only other transfer rumour of any importance was the chatter around young English prospect Reece Oxford at West Ham, who appears to want away from London. [RBM]

Everton played against Valencia on Saturday, losing 3-2 at home in their last preseason friendly. That game, like many others this preseason, highlighted how awful the Blues’ centrehalf situation is and hopefully some respite is on the way.

What To Watch

Most teams are winding down their preseasons with the Premier League starting this coming weekend and the majority of the European leagues the week after.

Hull City take on Aston Vila in the Championship to round off the first weekend of action.

The Under-20 Women’s World Cup is on in France with three Everton Ladies players representing England - Megan Finnigan, Taylor Hinds, and Chloe Kelly all played a part as the Young Lionesses beat North Korea 3-1. Today sees the US team take on Japan, Nigeria against Germany, Paraguay versus Spain with Haiti and China rounding off the day’s action.
