What a Deadline Day it has been for Everton!
Whether or not the Blues can build off all the players they added during this summer transfer window is another story, but Marcel Brands certainly addressed the needs Marco Silva had pointed out.
The latest addition to the squad is central defender Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea, with his deal sheet going through just before the window closed at 5pm, and all the paperwork done by the next deadline of 7pm.

Everton certainly had weaknesses especially in the backline and they brought in Yerry Mina with Zouma for support. The Chelsea defender fits the profile of player that we have seen the Blues linked with this summer, under 25, strong, fast and skilled
Zouma has struggled to break through into the first team squad at Chelsea, spending last season on loan at Stoke City after joining the Stamford Bridge side in 2014 from St. Etienne.

This brings to five the total number of senior team centrehalves, including club captain Phil Jagielka, Michael Keane and Mason Holgate - the task that lies ahead of Marco Silva now is to get all of them to settle in as soon as possible into a cohesive unit in front of Jordan Pickford.
