Just last week, we passed along a report that Everton rejected an insultingly low bid from RB Leipzig for young winger Ademola Lookman. Unfortunately, that did not end up being the end of the story, as RBL executive Ralf Rangnick has openly stated that Lookman wants to join the German side permanently.
#Rangnick with a transfer update: "I think 3 more signings is realistic. We're still in talks over @Alookman_ - we want him back and he wants to come. We're also looking at something in central midfield, whether that's a no. 6, 8 or 10." #DieRotenBullen pic.twitter.com/TVK4KTCvCz

Kids, this isn’t a good look for Everton. To have another club openly stating your own player’s career desires and dictating the transfer talks by themselves is a horrible way to do business, and could lead to other players negotiating their way out of Finch Farm.
However it gets done, Ademola Lookman needs to stay. He is perhaps the most talented young player at Everton, and deserves a chance to flourish under a new manager. At this point, it’s unclear if Yannick Bolasie is long for the Blues, meaning that Ade would have an even bigger chance to make his mark at Goodison this season.
Please, Marcel. Stop screwing around.
