After having two previous bids rejected, Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are back again for Everton winger Ademola Lookman, still under the quoted sum for the player.
The Mail reported late last night that the third bid was going to be made for the amount of £18million as the German club have continued to talk about the Toffees’ player. Leipzig’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick, who played a key role in getting Lookman to Germany on loan, has now taken over as manager at the club, and seems determined to bring on the 20-year-old.
Everton have reportedly set the pricetag for the winger at £20m, so it seems only a matter of time before the two clubs come to an agreement with the player wanting the move himself.
The Blues have already signed Richarlison to be the left wing starter for the coming season, and with Theo Walcott established on the opposite wing, Marcel Brands and Marco Silva had intended for Lookman to grow into a starting role.
Lookman has great potential but stat in this is misleading. Did much of his best work as an impact sub for Leipzig. Only started 7 of 14 league games & didn’t play at all against biggest teams (Bayern, BVB). Not ready to start every week for #efc https://t.co/BN3HG6FO1G
