Brazilian winger Richarlison looked a handful in his first Everton appearance midweek, and got deservedly got his first goal for the Blues since signing less than a week ago in his first start.

The Toffees found themselves 2-0 behind to the hosts Stade Rennes in their sixth preseason friendly even before the halftime whistle, with the French side punishing a couple of defensive gaffes.

However, just before the break, new signing Richarlison pulled a goal back to give the Blues some life. Even during his first appearance in the 3-0 loss away at Blackburn, the Brazilian had looked the best player on the pitch and showed his quality today with a well-taken goal that showed his skill and tenacity at the same time.

Everton have just the one friendly after this before the first game of the Premier League season to be played away at Wolverhampton Wanderers, hosting Spanish side Valencia at Goodison Park next weekend.
