Will the Blues look more coherent on the pitch today?

Everton play preseason friendly number 6 in France today, taking on Stade Rennes who finished in fifth place in last season’s Ligue 1 and have qualified for the group stages of the Europa League (ahh, remember that tournament)?

The Blues looked completely flat for the first half against Blackburn Rovers on Thursday, and though the second half brought out a different XI the final score was still an awful 3-0.

The clock is ticking down to the close of the transfer window and with only one confirmed (and one likely done) transfer and the Toffees still look as discordant as last season which is worrying the fans no end.

Time: July 28th | Stade Municipal de Vitré | 5:30 PM BST | 12:30 PM EST

TV: Arena Sport 4, Arena Sport 5 Serbia, TV2 Sumo, TV2 Sport Premium, Sport TV5 (more info here)

Also concerning for the fans has been the continued absence of some players - Theo Walcott and Ademola Lookman remain out with what were supposedly minor knocks. Meanwhile Dominic Calvert-Lewin is still recovering from back surgery done earlier in the year. Yannick Bolasie and Cuco Martina have been out over a couple of weeks now with a mysterious ‘stomach bug’, just seems odd.
