In the promotional videos for Everton’s 2018-19 kit releases, the hook is “there’s gonna be a show”.

The Blues PR staff probably meant that the team on the field would be a show, but in truth, they could have just meant the upcoming week at Finch Farm, because it’s looking like Everton could sign three players in the next few days.

We’ve told you about Richarlison, and then Lucas Digne. Yerry Mina might be next, if Goal.com’s reporting is accurate.

Goal understands that the 23-year-old is ready to make a move to the Premier League with Everton, and that the club have already been informed that he was content with their offer through his uncle and representative Jair Mina. Everton coach Marco Silva contacted Jair Mina to explain his project at Goodison Park and the role he sees the 23-year-old defender having in his squad, where he would have the chance to be a regular starter, as opposed to his position with the Spanish giants where he would likely see little time on the pitch. The only sticking point now is the approval of a deal from Barcelona.

The report goes on to state that Everton have offered £15 million (one Davy Klaassen, apparently) plus bonuses for Mina, which would simultaneously represent a profit for Barcelona and some tidy business for Marcel Brands.

If there’s anything we’ve learned from the first set of preseason matches, it’s that Everton need defenders pretty badly. The transfer targets seem to be fully locked in - Richarlison, Digne, Mina - and now we wait.
