Everton add extra game to club’s pre-season schedule

Everton have added an extra game to their pre-season schedule with the club travelling to play France next weekend to face Stade Rennais.

Marco Silva’s side will take on the Ligue 1 side at the Stade Municipal de Vitré, home of AS Vitré, with kick-off at 6.30pm local time (5.30pm BST).

It’s Everton’s seventh match of their pre-season schedule, filling what initially was a free summer weekend.

The Toffees have already beaten ATV Irdning and drawn with Bury this summer and face Lille and Porto in the Algarve Cup this weekend.

On their return to the UK Everton travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn next Thursday before their trip to France.

Everton wrap up their pre-season campaign against La Liga side Valencia at Goodison Park on Saturday August 4 before their Premier League opener at newly promoted Wolves the following week.

Blues are yet to schedule their rematch with SportPesa Cup champions Gor Mahia, this time at Goodison Park. More than likely the U23s will end up playing the fixture.
